We are a friendship group that decided to run together because we love Siberian Huskies (and other sled dogs) whilst having a go at mushing or bike-joring. 

We established the group in October 2006 and we have gone from strength to strength with our members keen interest to support the groups main ethos:

West Country Sled Dogs are a social group that support and motivate each other in developing their love for sled dog activities, whether it be mushing, bike-joring, scootering, CaniX or even showing.....whatever the breed.

We decided to set up a name, a website and an email address so that other doggy owners who wish to run their dogs either on a rig, bicycle or scooter could find us.  We know how difficult it is to find other sled dog owners in the area in order to join in the fun!

We are a small group of people that get together once or twice a week in and around South Devon, mainly at HALDON HILL near EXETER.  Currently we all have one or two Sled Dogs that include Siberian Huskies, Alaskan Malamutes, German Shepherds, and Dobermans.  

A few of us also show our dogs, including CRUFTS!

We do this for the fun of it not just for the competition.  If the dogs love it - then so do we!  We are full of support and motivation! 

So come and join us - you might catch that mushing bug!!!
